This hand-dyed hat is a one-off piece made from Toquilla straw. It features stitching details, a stretch lining and is moldable.
Horisaki develops elastic/ stretch bands to make their hats easier to wear. It makes the hat sit very comfortably on your head and can be worn down in colder weather and/ or as a detail. It makes the fit suitable for most sizes.
Horisaki hats are handmade and handstitched. Therefore, variations in shape, form, colour and measurements in the brim and crown may occur. Measurements will also vary depending on how the wearer shapes the hat.
No stiffening is used in the hat-making process, which makes the hats soft and comfortable with good travel abilities.

100% Toquilla Straw.
Toquilla straw, or what is usually called Panama straw, is made from fibres of ‘Carludovica palmata’. Material is handmade in Ecuador.
Hand dyed/ pigment dyed. The colour will change and get a beautiful patina with time.
The material is washed and hand-dyed to enhance the softness and set the tones of colour that we want to achieve. The dying technique creates a distressed natural look.
