This hat has a slightly curved brim, teardrop crown, pinched front and stretch lining.
Horisaki hats are handmade and handstitched. Therefore, variations in shape, form, colour, and measurements of the brim and crown may occur. Measurements will also vary depending on how the wearer shapes the hat.
Horisaki develops elastic/ stretch bands to make their hats easier to wear. These bands make the hat sit very comfortably on your head and can be worn down in colder weather or as a detail. They are also more flexible in size.
No stiffening is used in the hat-making process, which makes the hats soft and comfortable and allows them to travel well.
Horisaki hats are made to last for years to come. If materials are fraying, they were chosen by the makers to do so.

100% Beaver fur felt.
A light but strong felt with long durability. The fabric is isolating and therefore suitable for both summer and winter temperatures.
It has a natural water repellent and withstands elements and time well. Horisaki beaver fur felt is of the lightest quality for the purpose of moulding and shaping abilities.
For a worn and distressed look, the hat goes through a burning process with fire called "hard burnt", which gives the hat a leather-like patina. The hard burnt patination may dry and/ or wet bleed.
